Naturals is a craft studio housed in the farm buildings of the Old Vicarage, Llangybi, near Lampeter, Wales. All the craftwork is related to wool and other natural fibres.
Wool is produced from the small flock of coloured sheep and cashgora goats at the farm. The fleece is sent to the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall, where some is blended with cashmere, alpaca, llama or silk before being spun into yarn for knitting or weaving. Naturals usually has surplus yarns and fabrics for sale
Stables contain the yarn store; the barn loft is a drawing area and the summer house holds various handlooms and smaller handcraft equipment for sample yarns and fabrics. For summer open days and other events please revisit the site.
Naturals is a member of Gwlan Teifi a co-operative of small industrial weavers in the Teifi Valey. Other members are Curlew Weavers, Elvet Woollen Mill, Melin Teifi and Rock Mill. All produce fabrics for wholesale, all except Elvet have a mill shop and all except Rock Mill undertake contract work for farmers and specialist fibre producers, making fabric, blankets, throws, scarves etc from wool provided. Samples of contract fabrics are available at Naturals.
From 21st February Naturals at Llangybi is open to visitors by appointment. Please phone 01570 493292 before travelling or email naturals@btinternet.com. Leaving an answerphone message is not advised as we are quite often at shows. Please visit the website for regular information and use the shop link for current offers and new stock
